Sacred Heart Church is a 1200 family Roman Catholic parish located in East Grand Forks, MN. Sacred Heart Catholic Parish was started in 1893 and is part of the Diocese of Crookston. Sacred Heart Church ministers to the East Grand Forks community, especially through its educational ministry of Sacred Heart School.
Sacred Heart School, which started in 1912, is a daycare, pre-school, elementary, and high school program. It is unique because it is a combined elementary and high school program supported by a single parish. While multiple parishes today support most of the American Catholic high schools, Sacred Heart has continued to be primarily supported by Sacred Heart parish, families, friends, and alumni. Sacred Heart is one of only twenty-two Catholic high schools in Minnesota.
