The Field Safety Specialist will perform on-site visits to provide advice on measures to minimize safety hazards or unhealthy situations. Coordinates and conducts training in many safety areas to include coordinating and assisting with Switch Training, emergency procedures, OSHA, DOT, WSI, etc. Will assist in the development of safety procedures, rules and programs along with assisting with departmental administrative duties, Requires prior safety or training experience. Prior experience working with high voltage transmission systems at an electric utility is preferred Required knowledge includes: electrical systems/ procedures, personal protective equipment, equipment maintenance and inspection, OSHA regulations, and NERC security standards.
