My name is Newzad Brifki and I am running for Mayor of Moorhead. I moved to Moorhead in 1995 from Fargo and am blessed to belong to this country, state and city. I am a father, community leader, small business owner, teacher and author. Connecting with residents of every background demonstrated me the untapped potential of this city and inspired me to run for office.
Recent mayors chose a stance of inaction.
Moorhead faces the same challenges today as it has since I became a resident more than twenty years ago. Streets remain unfixed. Trains interrupt our daily life. Small businesses receive few incentives. Downtown languishes despite three higher education institutions. Our population rises without an identity. We cling the coattails of our sister city while they reap the rewards.
On November 6, 2018, you can spark change by voting me, Newzad Brifki, as Moorhead’s new mayor.
