MOORHEAD PUBLIC SERVICE LINEMAN Moorhead Public Service (MPS) is accepting applications for a Lineman. This position maintains, repairs, and installs MPS' electric distribution and transmission systems; works with or on energized conductors of all voltages; responds to electric outages; performs streetlight and traffic signal maintenance and installation; and ensures that power is supplied to all internal and external customers without disruption. Minimum qualifications includes graduate of a one-year electric lineworker program at a vocational or technical school, three years of lineworker experience, Class A CDL valid in Minnesota, residence with a 20-minute drive time of MPS' Dispatch/Operations Center in order to comply with policies related to standby rotation. Desired qualifications include graduate of a two-year electric lineworker program at a vocational or technical school, five years of lineworker experience, and certified as a journeyman lineworker.
