Great Plains STNFUELS BASIN ELECTRIC POWER COOPERATIVE DAKOTA GASIFICATION COMPANY A Touchstone Energy' Cooperative A BASIN ELECTRIC POWER COOPERATIVE SUBSIDIARY Settlements Analyst III This position is solely responsible for coordinating business system support for the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) applications and other applications used by the Settlements section. This position coordinates all new system implementations, testing of upgrades to current applications, and is responsible for serving as the liaison between staff of the Settlements section, Information Services and Telecommunications (IS&T) division, the Business Systems Analysts (BSA) section, and the various vendors for the applications. The incumbent works with the BSA section and the ETRM team in IS&T to develop, implement, and enhance the settlements capabilities within the systems, and ensures the appropriateness, efficiency, and reliability of the system functions and the integrity of the data processed in the system. This position is responsible for taking a lead role in the Western Energy Imbalance Service (WEIS) market settlement functions and has a complete understanding of the current market rules and complex settlement calculations to accurately perform the WEIS calculations. This position must have thorough knowledge of the Independent Service Operator (ISO) Settlement system in order to review and validate the settlement charge code calculations. This position is also responsible for the Wind and Solar contract settlement, monthly transmission, power capacity, and energy checkout. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have knowledge of electric market operations, accounting, and business theory, business practices and procedures, and management information systems concepts at a level acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, and six years of related experience in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, billing, or settlements. The position also requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong interpersonal skills; experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; extensive personal computer skills; and experience with computer information systems.
