Gity Detroit Lakes Public Works Director The City of Detroit Lakes (pop. 9290) is seeking a Public Works Director. Responsible for planning, directing and supervising the operation and maintenance of public works functions that include, Streets, Parks, Sports Arena, Animal Control and Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer Collection Systems. Supervision of nineteen full time employees and additional part time employees. The po- sition reports to the City Administrator. Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree in a related field and seven years' progressive municipal management experience with emphasis in street and park construction and maintenance, vehicle mainte- nance, sanitary sewer collection systems and storm sewer collec- tion systems construction and operation, animal control, budget- ing, and personnel management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
